So now we know why she was homeless

The dog that is.... How such an intelligent, gentle and friendly creature ever got thrown out of any household just before Christmas of last year was beyond us... Until now.
No sooner was Halloween over than she went ballistic decorating the house with festive fake snow, impressively improvised from the inners of her bed. She is a Christmas nut. I dread to think what will happen when decorations appear.
Her tail was in shot in this picture but she was wagging so hard it was impossible for the camera to keep up.

The ones with the innocent looking faces are the worse!!! I suggest you either cut a christmas tree in half or buy an artifical one. You need to keep those decorations up at waist level at least!!!

We managed to find the perfect dog ever. Cutesy, well-behaved, small enough for a lazy owner and a great guard dog. Then my son took an acute allergic reaction.
It meant I had to get rid of him, but nobody would take him, so I got rid of the poor aul dog instead...

Maybe he just celebrates the winter solstice and wants snow, and won't even pay attention to anything else. Though the top-only tree sounds like a good idea.

About Mags Treanor - well played.

My dog looks about the same height as yours - this is my solution to the tree problem:

He's got that cuteness thing down to a science though.

Helplessly Rachel!
Tks Socks... I'm going to have to give it some serious thought, I don't know what we'll do yet.
Mags - i suppose it was a tough sell esp if you told people he was allergic to pets etc.
Acorn, I like the tree you put together - but we don't have sticks like that here... I have a plastic tree I've carted about since college that I really don't want to lose though.
Hasn't she just Kat! It's her job, and she's a pure pro.

Is she wearing a pointy blue hat from a cracker? If she can pull crackers she can come to any party I'm giving! My dog hates them.

I like her distinguished looking grey beard. I researched it on the whiskernet and it is apparently called a 'Handlebar and chin puff'

You learn something new everyday in blogland!

Titus, haven't tried her on crackers yet! She'll eat em anyway I can tell you that much.
She'll probably eat hats too, now that you mention it.
Handlebar and chin puff eh TFE? Cheers for that, I will be sure to let her know.

Is that dog's name by any remote chance Dora, if so did she come from Dog's Trust? Came on to write a comment about your great piece in the stinging fly and got distracted by the mutt.

Whatever she did, she didn't do it!

Ev, I'm intrigued - have you known her in a past life? Mail me at niamh dot bagnell at gmail dot com!!

Thanks re the stinging fly too
