We never heard of Nutcrackers and you wouldn't lend us a hammer
- Nuts wouldn't crack without a hammer,
- And we had only uncle's shoe
- No matter pitched the yelp or yammer
- Nuts couldn't crack without a hammer.
- And all of it was lost on you
- Nuts wouldn't crack without a hammer,
- And we had only uncle's shoe

Nuts! Nice rhymes
Everybody managed a toilet except me!
And you got nuts and shoes in yours and that isn't easy, though you maketh it look so.Nice rhymes as EW says, also evocative, I think, of cosy times gone by. Ilikes it!
This reminds me of the time I went camping with my mom & aunt & cousin & we forgot the hammer for the stakes. Similar results, except I don't think we knew how to build a fire to tan by...
Agree with Kate - nice rhymes - tanner is unexpected - should only be before had?
I wish I hadn't been serious now!! Well done, you cracked it!
Very cool triolet!
I don't find it funny! I find it disturing, surreal and a bit scary weird. I really liked it. And tanner and shoes is good.
The "skins grew tanner" line is my favourite, but I love the pictures this is painting in my head altogether.
Kat
tks EW,
TFE, you should try one! Nuts and shoes go together very naturally to my mind
Bug - you've reminded me of our first picnic deep in the woods with a big gas cooker, loads of raw food to cook up and no match between us.
Thanks Peter - not sure I understand your question tho so can't give an opinion.
Thanks socks and Karen ;-)
Thanks Titus - and yes ... er I saw that connection alright... I mean like before now. Don't you love it when that happens!
Thanks kat, glad you enjoyed
