Poetry Bus - Pick a Word

So this week - Rachel very ably took the bus keys and set us the challenge of picking a favourite word to centre the poem around. I found this a tough decision, especially when TFE ran off with "Guddle" but I have settled on the word Essence, and picked out a lot of nice related words from the spice industry, and tried somehow to mix em all together to come up with something semi-tasty. Hope you like.

You captured the essence of essence! Outstanding, Niamh.
Isn't that what poetry is, the distillation of an experience into an intense block of words?
I looked at the essence of hope in mine:
I hope the Poetry Bus stops here

Like it. Humorous and very sensual/evocative at the same time. As EO said, the essence of essence.

Word verification: crock

What a coincidence after "fay concentrates produced kept in earth pots"!

yummy!... I loved most of the words used in this.. I could almost smell things.. taste the particles... (a lesser known sweet brand?)..
This is such a cool little thing of alchemy.. love it!

First I want to copy EO and say "the essence of essence" and next I want to nick "alchemy" off of the watercats.
Lovely poem of constant movement forwards, and really liked Distilled... be-thrilled... be-spilled.
Great words in the right places - what more can I say?!
