Which made me think of this geographical meme...
The first instruction is -
you must begin your post with a geographical joke:
Dublin is the biggest city in the world - it keeps dubbelin and dubbelin... (badoom shhhhh)
Then credit the geographical joke to the source - (my friend Seán in this instance)
Then in as few words as possible - explain your earliest recollection/ awareness of the following;
Europe - being born there, probably first aware of it when the EEC became the EC or the EU.
America - suitcases full of shiny things & sweets being brought back
Africa - the song "Walk like an Egyptian"
Australia - Skippy - the bush kangaroo
Asia - School geography
Then say what is your furthest point travelled -
North - top of jutland, Denmark
South - Beunos Aires for work
East - Athens - there for the Eurovision
West - driving past Toronto

Quickly drafted some answers. I'll firm them up when I've finished my school reports!
And what work were you doing in Argentina?

Hey lookin forward to reading your answers...
Rachel - i did about 6 days of work in a meat factory, new product development on behalf of a customer of the place I worked for at the time. Beunos Aires is a gorgeous city - was lucky to have a weekend there to myself - with the purple blossom trees all over the place.
And are you still, snigger snigger, in meat?

Now in ingredients
Roughly the same level of glamour.
Wow ! I wish I'd been somewhere glamorous, like Arklow.
It was just like Paris TFE, only with less croissants
Might try this, but nothing as exciting in my geographical life as yours!
Meme done!
Hi Niamh. I'm new to your blog, here via Dominic.
I love this meme and shall try it in due course. I am so geographically challenged, but I love the memories I have of childhood places in my imagination. Thanks.
Titus - I look forward to yours, Dominic - enjoyed yours - thanks.
Thanks Elisabeth and welcome - do let me know when yours is up and I'll post a link - cheers!
Done my geography homework, Miss.

Excellent work Rachel, top of the class, you've had the most addresses so far anyway!
I followed you meme in theme only Niamh, sorry. I do not know of any geography jokes. So I launched off into a list of all the places in which I've lived and then later realised my mistake.
I did not answer your questions and well deserve a two out of ten for effort, but still I like you meme and will one day try harder to concentrate on the task at hand and not get too carried away. Please forgive me.
It's the thought that counts Elisabeth - and that was certainly an interesting and thoughtful post - so nathing to apologise for - but if you do come up with a geography joke you'll have to let me know!!
