Does this wreck your head?

A picture of a blog within a blog within a blog? No? Perhaps because it's all blurry? so you can't really see it?

Y'know what - now that I'm here, I'll tell you some kind of painful news. My blog - I mean this one - the one you're reading now - didn't make the grade... Hasn't got through to the next round of judging for the Irish Blog Awards. And before you go looking, I've checked through all the categories, it's not that they've moved me to a more prestigious category or anything. They've just decided that there's better blogs out there (pah!)
I'm ok about it. Really. Again my unfathomable depths of bravery come in handy here as I fight the urge to throw the laptop to the dog to chew on...
I want to thank whoever nominated me again - for getting my hopes up only to have them dashed on the rocks of reality... What'll it take eh? Bloody labels to make the blog searchable I suppose, fancy graphics, more followers, maybe even higher quality content instead of the random waffle that I usually come up with for your delectation? I don't know - people with standards eh...

Best of luck to those wonderful blogs linked in my right hand column that DID get through to the next round - ie - Women Rule Writer, Uiscebot and TotalFeckinEejit - pure quality blogs, I'll have my fingers and toes cross for ye all...

my lord!! how many posts have I missed?... they are all EXCELLENT. I love the train poems, beautiful bits of writing. That thingy with your blog is a feedback loop, something deep and scientific to do with chaos and infinity or something... ahh, it's nice to be back in blog land :-D

Bah!
There's always next year. If global warming hasn't melted Ireland by then.

Me neither. I am seriously pissed. Why do I bother, really. I get no recognition, little feedback, no freebies, very nothing.

A dream within a dream, a wheel wthin a wheel, a sandwich within a bar with a nice pint of Guinness and a packet of cheesenonion Tayto.
Or something.

You were robbed, ROBBED in the blog awards.Demand a recount, a judicial enquiry, a refund, compensation, retribution, revolution,a coup d'etat and a cup o soup.

I stared at that picture for what seemed like an eternity ... and things suddenly became clear, and I was finally able to complete my refutation of the alleged "proof" of Fermat's Last Theorem. Thank you. I will use any interviews or other public access I may gain from this to bring light to the scandalous injustices that you have faced in your blog award proceedings. This will not stand.

Niamh, don't worry. I love your waffles. All waffles actually. There's a man who sometimes sells them on a certain corner on Wednesdays here, but I believe he does it illegally, because he's there one minute, and gone the next.

I stalk him, but I still only score the occasional waffle. So I'm glad of yours.

aw, no! who do those blog awards people think they are? who made them the authority?
we love you and your blog and that counts.
and anyway, those sharp pointy rocks of disappointment only give us all something to write about.

Yes Watercats - you've been missing loads of wonderful goings on - glad you're back now.
Tks Titus - Cork will float if Ireland floods, so I'll have to move back there then...
Ah EW - the likes of us - we don't need the recognition, we know we're brilliant, that's all that matters, I'm sure your 123 followers would beg to differ with the judges...
TFE - I know. Between this and the wicklow council thing I'm beginning to believe the world is a harsh and cruel place.
Thank you Dead Acorn - yes - please bring this injustice to the light... glad you managed to tear yourself away from the enigma wrapped up in a riddle at the top of the post.
Thanks Jessica - and mine aren't as fattening or bad for your teeth! - though maybe not quite as tasty either. :-)
Ah NanU - you're so right - without the troughs we wouldn't have peaks, and people have more worrying worries I'm sure.
Thanks all of ye. xxxxxxx

Oh sad indeed, but there will be more opportunities again for sure. At least you tried.

You was robbed!!
Congrats for getting this far. You got nominated which is great!

Thanks Elisabeth - but I didn't try really, was just nominated by some kind stranger, maybe if I did try... :-)
Thanks LilyS - sure it's the taking part that counts isn't it?
