Playboy of the Western World

He's left me again, forsaken me for the Gaeilge, off West for a 2 month course in translation skills. This time at least he'll be off at weekends. So should be back the odd time.

Implications are as follows:

He will at least now read the blog - (hiya btw! xox)
I should have more time to write while no longer busy being a domestic goddess, cooking, cleaning etc etc...
I should get through some more of those pesky books cluttering up the fireplace, while not having to concentrate on being scintillating company all evening every evening.
He might listen to the radio show.
I'll probably go mad again - wearing myself out going to all sorts of open mic things, finding new and exciting outlets for stimulation and fun, burning candles at all possible ends, and generally being totally selfish...
(eh, so not actually THAT much different to when he's around, at least he enjoys em too...)

You could come round and clean my house if you're looking for something to do...

and mine.
Or you could send out some of your poems into the big, bad world maybe.

Thanks DO & EW, but I'll pass. My domestic goddess skills are such that I couldn't even find the iron for my brother in law who is staying with me this evening, husband swap style Mr VC is staying with his wife tonight as well!!
And EW - my poems have been out there already, they didn't like it, and it didn't like them...
Watercats - I'll keep ye posted on it!

Hope Mr Niamh has more luck listening to the show than I did,35 minutes of silence makes me very, very twitchy.I even tried (admittedly a long shot, it struggles to get RTE) tuning in on my €10 radio from Dunnes but the dial didn't go round that far.

I know - technology is such a test, pls email the station and demand a podcast - in fact everyone should do that, because then they'll know it's not just my mam that wants it!!

other than that get ye into the car and up to the liffey valley car park - the yellow zone gets the best reception...

Poor Mr VC abandoned in the west (can he get me on the course, any course, I'll even pay! I like the location).
Please don't fill up your life with any more exciting exploits or take to developing any more skills, I'm exhausted just reading your blog!
(Funny, my poems didn't like being sent around to strange places either!)
