I could be working, cleaning the house, inspecting the drains, knitting daisies, plaiting hair, planting plaintains, driving, eating bananas, going bananas, sleeping, rescuing kittens, skipping, watercolour painting, saving the world, instead I'm doing this... what a waste.

Nah...this is tres legitimate way to spent the precious few years we have on this planet...
ah, but all the kittens you could have rescued while making that comment, think of the kittens!!!
Those bloody kittens, always getting into trouble...
it's almost like they do it on purpose
ahhh I dunno.. you cuold be wasting time by watching paint dry.... that would be a waste!. congrats on your beeb appearance too !-)
i think there's a website somewhere where you can actually watch grass growing - live - 24 hours a day.
Thanks re the beeb, i think it's got to signify a huge turning point in my career, in some way...
Instead of blogging?? You mean, like, there are other things?
Never mind the kittens. This way you're saving the world! Think of all the unhappy people who would now be looking at nothing if you weren't here!
I've just spent an hour and a half watvhing Liverpool drone through a match. Now THAT is boring and useless!
(No wonder I'm using so many exclamation marks to try and bring some excitement to my evening)! :)
Hey, DQ ,I'd rather watch drowning kittens being poked with pointy sticks than watch Liverpool trying to play football.
See Mrs Niamh you've even got people commenting on other people's comments onyour blog! Shall i ring CNN now?
TFE, first the snails, now this... I honestly don't know what to say, there's no saving you. Do call CNN - tell them you're giving yourself up.
DQ - Yikes! - soccer! Commiserations! at least I'm safe from sport for the moment!!
as i'm currently avoiding any form of work or exercise precisely by the activity of bloggin i have to say it's rather unfair you should shock my system by suggesting that it isn;t an entirely natural activity!
tfe should have a monday exercise based on the reaction to watching/listening to liverpool play. now that would be a challenge!
indeed, my biggest challenge in that instance would be forcing myself to watch it...
ok conclusion: blogging is more productive than watching soccer. Who wants to go to a match and tell them?
Sorry to be pedantic about your conclusion, Mrs Niamh, but I think we were referring to watching Liverpool, per se, not soccer in general.Watching any non Loonypool team,in particular Man United for example is noble, uplifting and good for the soul.
Watching Liverpool, or Manchester, as a town, like from outside - hovering in a helicopter, maybe that'd be fun, but soccer? no. I won't be looking for upliftment there.
(of course I do still watch the finals of everything and cry with happiness for the winners, no matter who they are - that bit I like) ;-)
