Had a lovely taxi driver last night, informed us he didn't like confined spaces with loads of drunk people to explain why he'd only ever been to 2 concerts ever. I refrained from asking whether he thought he was in the right job or not.
He informed us that the pub we'd been in earlier was a well known spot for literary types around Dubland, so I figured you literary type readers would probably be well placed to identify it, even from these dark, dull and sideways taken images. Guesses in the comment box,
Hint: The first photo is a sideways image of where the pay phone used to be.

Literary types, eh?Is it Hodges Figgis?
Not even close TFE - I hear the pints in there are crap
Mulligans?
Btw - are you going away this week? Or did I read your blog wrong...
Not mulligans no.
And yep - headin franceways for a long weekend this week, will be leaving big hungry gaurd dogs tho - in case the high tech burglars are reading.
Is it the pub where they planned the revolution in the back room, och, can't remember the name... near the screen cinema?
So how was the re-union?!
No - not near the screen - though I think I'll compile a new pub crawl plan from these suggestions.
Reunion was good, I have a bad memory, so was very worried that maybe I wouldn't like him, but turns out I do... Phew
mine was also mulligans on poolbeg street, I consulted the oracle....
Ok, so it's still not Mulligans, but let's do this sometime.
Everyone bring their own plastic bottle or hiking plastic bag thing of spirits or something combustable, we kick off in Hodges Figgis, supping in the philosophy section while discussing the meaning of life, onto Mulligans for a pint, back to Waterstones to have an impromptu reading and a sup in the poetry section, back to Mulligans for a pint, over to Easons where we will quiz each on the various exam questions for the last five years while sipping, then a pint in Mulligans, lastly a dart out to Hughes and Hughes where we'll read from their drama section using the stairs as our theatre, each reading from a different play.. then? Mulligans - or maybe the mystery pub.
McDaids
Nope - keep trying
Keoghs?
Ok time for a hint - It starts with a "B", but for awhile I thought it started with "G"
Brogans!
