A cup of Tea

Here's a plan for Saturday - if you're planning anything beyond tomorrow

An event on down in Dun Laoighaire - in the lovely people's park tea rooms - organised by the fantastic Mia Gallagher. I'll be saying a poem or two there anyhoo.

Saturday 20th March

Stranger than Fiction (non-fiction & poetry)

12noon: Poetry Coffee Morning. What better way to get ready for the dlr Poetry Now 10 festival than to share your favourite poems with other lovers of the artform? Poems can be by yourself or another.

2pm: Readings & discussion by memoirist Lia Mills and historical writer Neil Hegarty.

I won't be able to make the reading ... tsk tsk. A bit far for me, I'm afraid. But I do have the next best thing --- my copy of Poetry Divas 1 arrived a couple of days ago and I am looking forward to reading you, Kate and Tríona there.

Great stuff Lorenzo - hope you like - turn to page 16 for my "Almost made for a coffee shop" poem
Titus - no worries, being in another country is good reason not to be available for a quick cuppa
TFE - do you not have a bus pass? Ah no worries, we'll catch up on the bus on Monday sure.

Ah, if only! I'd give my eyeteeth to be there to hear you read and to have a lovely cup of tay. (I've been to Dun Laoghaire, but it was years ago now.)

Dun Laoghaire's a nice spot alright, right on the sea, and lots of stuff going on, used to live nearer to it myself... Ah well - will try and take a pic or two for ye Kat!
