lots of great ideas for posts these days but...............

Contrary to all Human Rights treaties signed in living and dead memory, there is no internet in the new house...
This outrage has been followed by the fact that the lead on my computer no longer works, so I can't even get posts written up at home and then posted from an internetty spot....
I'm adrift, waving at you from a far away life raft - hopefully normal service will resume soon

(and the weather's rubbish down here, which I noticed was highlighted from the heatwave ridden dubland, from the dubland tv* studios... thanks a lot... rub it in why don't ye?)

* we officially really really have no tv now either - so have to rely on the kindness of my folks to sometimes allow us into their home for a peek...

my god... can't imagine being in this weather without t.v or interwebs, it's the only thing stopping me from brandishing my own kitchen implements at my own flesh. Mind you, I have deliberately stopped watching the t.v and news related items due to said weather rubbing in-ness, I even had to turn off Tom Dunne this morning because his smug little Dublin voice droning on about how lovely it was up in Dublin.. Sunny South East my hole!.. grrrrr

I'm so confused! Send me GPS reference by pigeon, I'll ring Portsmouth and they'll get in touch with the Brazilian Rainforst Rescue to come and sort you out. Will they need winches?

It's raining here too.

Starting to get fed up with all this heat and sunshine. A nice shower of rain is called for...

At least you can listen to Talk to Joe - is that still on RTE? I used to get it in my old car which had LW. Sometimes it was more like Father Ted than Father Ted.

Embrace it. We'll wait.
Plus, no tv = no x factor, no presidential debate, no master chef = paradise, kind of!

I can't believe no Xfactor - tragedy! Still you and Mr Various are getting to know each other all over again! Light candles:)

hiya cats, yerrah it's not that bad - seeing sun today for the first time in ages!
titus, we don't even have gps, things are that bad, tks for the offer tho!
peter - my old public health nurse in dublin even rang during that heat wave to gloat!
Gerry, just enough food and plenty of rain water, so we're just surviving, tks :-)
Dominic, we didn't have Joe on, but yeah, he's always there as a last resort!
Words, tks :-) yes - the pres debate is sommething I feel kinda bad for missing. got the late late one on player afterwards tho, so I know roughly who my top two are, just hope I don't miss the vote altogether!
Socks, we're saving the candles in case the leckie goes, you never know!
Martine, have tried that one, wire is on it's way apparently, but I'm sure until it gets here the old one will keep acting up.
swiss, good on you with the getting loads done... I'm just managing to stay fed and watered and gradually unpacking our belongings...
